At the direction of the Governor of North Carolina and the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services we are restricting visitors from entering our facility in hopes of preventing the introduction of illness to our residents.

Visits are restricted with the exception of end-of-life situations OR other emergent situations determined by the facility to necessitate the visit.  In these special situations, the visitor must be logged in and screened by a staff member at the front entrance before being allowed access to the facility.

All employees will be screened at the beginning of each shift before going out into the facility.

Thank you for helping us keep our residents safe!

The Wesley Pines Retirement Community is bigger than just our residents and employees.  It also includes all the families and loved ones connected to our community.  That’s why I wanted to take a moment to update you on the health situation we are experiencing at Wesley Pines.  We recently became aware a resident tested positive for COVID-19. We understand this is a very serious situation and want you to know we are approaching it with the utmost care and precaution. The health and safety of our employees and residents is our top priority.

These are the steps we’re taking to ensure their safety:

-Requiring employees to wear face masks and adhere to additional screening processes
-Increasing the frequency and rigor of cleaning and sanitizing common community areas
-Restricting visitors, including deliveries
-Canceled large, on-site large group social events and recreational activities
-Reviewing and executing our emergency preparedness and response program
-Asking residents and employees to communicate any travel plans
-Coordinating best practices across our large partner network
-Making the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s COVID-19 prevention resources and recommendations available to all employees

This is an unprecedented event and as such, we are in constant communication with local health officials and following the guidance the CDC and local health officials continue to share with us.  We understand many of you may have questions.  Please reach out to me at (910)272-3001 or with questions you may have.  We’re fortunate to be a part of a special community.  I’m proud of our team and confident that we’re prepared for this moment.
