Programs to help you thrive.
Research and our own experience show that residents who exercise regularly, eat healthily, challenge their minds, and stay socially and spiritually connected enjoy a higher quality of life. They’re happier, more active, more grounded, and more fun to be around. It’s why we take a holistic approach to wellness with programs that strengthen your body, engage your mind, and nourish your spirit.
Physical wellness — Our fitness center offers group classes and personalized programs geared to residents’ needs and abilities. Popular classes designed for senior wellness include chair yoga, chair aerobics, noodle exercise, and Wii® Fit programs. Residents can also get their heart pumping on NuStep cross trainers, treadmills and stationary bikes.
Social wellness — Participating in social activities helps you feel less isolated and may even add years to your life. At Wesley Pines, residents have a wealth of opportunities to connect with others and make new friends. There are special interest clubs, classes, committees and outings, plus annual celebrations, birthdays and anniversaries.
Intellectual wellness — Being intellectually engaged boosts your mood and may improve your cognitive skills. Book clubs, bridge games, educational seminars, and creative writing classes taught by a local author are just some of the ways Wesley Pines residents stay sharp.
Spiritual wellness — A strong spiritual sense can offer hope, strength and peace. Wesley Pines residents can nurture their spiritual selves through worship services, Bible studies, music performances and more. Our Fellowship Center welcomes residents of all faiths.
Vocational wellness — Serving on resident committees, volunteering on and off campus, leading discussion groups, and becoming a mentor offer opportunities for giving back to the community. Helping others is good for everyone, including yourself. Even a small act of kindness can make a big difference.
Environmental wellness — Our beautiful 49-acre campus enhances the quality of life for residents. Residents can stroll paths lined with flowering trees under a canopy of tall pines. Indoors, there are inviting spaces for relaxing with friends or burying your nose in a good book.
